Annaliese Constable

Annaliese Constable is a writer, performer and queer rights activist working across standup, queer performance and theatre. Renowned for self deprecating and tragic comedic works, Annaliese has been a regular contributor to Cab Sav, Club Cab Sav, Erotic Fan Fiction and Penguin Plays Rough. In June 2014 Annaliese presented a showing of her first major solo work, Annaliese Constable Literally, at the Sydney artist run space, The Newsagency. Alongside her regular gigs, Annaliese has performed at the Factory Theatre for the Mardi Gras Great Comedy Debate and at Performance Space as part of the Sexes Festival Erotic Fan Fiction. Annaliese holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts from the University of Wollongong. 

While completing her degree at the University of Wollongong, Annaliese lead a protest occupation for queer rights that she subsequently made a documentary about titled Operation Queer Space. One of Annaliese’s proudest achievements in her life is receiving the ‘Poople’s Choice’ award at Spoken Turd in 2012. Some other highlights in her performance career include singing ‘Fever’ and dancing seductively while dressed as a cow for Queer Central at the Sly Fox. Annaliese Constable uses lip balm found on the ground, grows nipple hairs, gets angry a lot and is available for babysitting.
