Next Wave’s home base is Brunswick Mechanics Institute—a former lending library and now multipurpose arts venue located in Merri-bek City Council.
Brunswick Mechanics Institute is used by Next Wave to present our annual program of artist-led activities. The venue can also be hired by artists, creative practitioners and cultural organisations for creative development including rehearsals, workshops, script development, filming and artist talks.
With a focus on community, exchange and collaboration, this is a place to test, develop and share work.
Download our Venue Hire Pack for more information.
If you are interested in using Brunswick Mechanics Institute, please fill out our online form. We are a small team and are only able to respond to venue requests during office hours Tuesdays – Thursdays. We appreciate your patience as we respond.
If you have any questions, please email us at mechanics@nextwave.org.au
Use of Brunswick Mechanics Institute by Next Wave is supported by Merri-bek City Council.
Brunswick Mechanics Institute is a step-free venue with accessible bathrooms.
