Rafaella McDonald

Rafaella is a visual artist making large-scale paintings, wearable and non-wearable sculptural work, dye-painted clothing and collaborative video and performance works. Recent exhibitions include ‘The Kaleidoscopic Turn’ National Gallery of Victoria Australia (2015), ‘Paintings for Performances’ Fort Delta (2015), a mural for Benwell/ Halpern at Shepparton Art Museum (2015) and wall mural at Readings Carlton as part of Melbourne Fringe Festival’s Uncommon Places (2014). Rafaella McDonald completed a Bachelor of Creative Arts from Melbourne University in 2009 and received First Class Honours at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2015. Her textile work has been included in publications such as The Craft Companion (Thames and Hudson) and Hessian Magazine.
