Archives are Hot! Artists in the Archive is a program of workshops, talks and activations, developed by Next Wave in collaboration with CAST, Saluhan and An.Other Collective.

Taking place in three sections every Friday, THINKING GROUND is open to local artists and community to share knowledge, swap skills, and build shared understanding on civic and creative practice.

In 2024, Next Wave is bringing artists from across the country together for All School LAB, a program of artist-led talks, performances and activities running over 24 and 25 May.
The 2024 LAB program considers Next Wave’s past, present and future – with a focus on intergenerational knowledge sharing and creative responses to notions of collectivism, preservation and care – culminating in a future-focused 40th birthday party.

Capturing the vibrant spirit of the Rapid Creek Markets through the eyes of local creatives. We brought together experimental artists, curators, thinkers, and foodies for a series of engaging community gatherings and immersive artistic encounters.
Co-curated by You Are Here, All School Crit Club peeled back the layers of artistic practice, diving deep into experimental methodologies of collaboration.
All School was unveiled with our inaugural All School LAB. Over four days, artists came together and offered artist talks, workshops, performances and curated feasts for themselves and the public to revel in at Melbourne’s Trades Hall.
All School Lab created a nexus of old and new friends to create community together – whether they were stepping onto a larger stage for the first time, exploring new directions, or expanding the scale of their artistic visions.
