Announcing: Next Wave x (nexus) Launch

Next Wave x (nexus) Launch is a multi-sensory Radical hospitality event of experimental dance battles, cuisines and a party.

Curated by Next Wave Young Artistic Director MaggZ, assisted by Carmen Yih,
(nexus) invites you to explore the theme of Devour, where they implore us to ask the question, “What does it mean to Devour? How does it feel to Devour? And why are we being Devoured?”

[Devour: to absorb or be absorbed eagerly]

(nexus) invites you
to step into the sensation of Devour
to be embodied in the somatics of Devour
to roam around the imagination of Devour

Find the devoured version of yourself in this evening of trial-and-error, shedding-and-rebuilding, unlearning-and-relearning.

The evening of Next Wave x (nexus) is ‘devoured’ in the following:

  1. Doors open at 7:30pm
  2. Invitational experimental battle: 8:30 – 9:15pm
  3. Open-to-all experimental battle: 9:20 – 10pm
  4. After party: 10pm till late

This Devouring evening is catered by Seven Eats, documented by Nam Chops and Klari Agar.
We also offer a surprise souvenir for each participant, so come find out.

Are you ready to Devour?
