Announcing: ShareHouse

ShareHouse invites you into Next Wave’s home, Brunswick Mechanics Institute, for community-led workshops, performances, and conversations.

Under the guidance of our Young Artistic Director, Banda, Saturday will feature a still-life drawing class by Charlie Taylor, lunch catered by sogobri and a panel talk exploring the relationship between artists and community. Followed by a collaborative reflective writing workshop with facilitator Adele D’Souza.

The Sunday portion of the two-day event will be an “Open House” at Brunswick Mechanics Institute, welcoming everyone to explore the space. Highlights include art pieces by local artists being raffled off, local foods, and a live performance by the neo-soul jazz band Lord Knows. Plus, you can challenge a friend to a chess game, search through our open library or get your professional headshots taken…

ShareHouse brings together fresh independent artists, for 2-days of exploration, celebration and community cultivation.
