Raghav started his career in 2004 in Marilyn Miller’s Quinkan in Sydney and the Adelaide Fringe. He then performed in Raymond Blanco’s Intentcity at the Sydney Opera House. In subsequent years, he worked on Vicki van Hout’s Wirad’journi and My Right Foot Your Right Foot performing at Parramatta Riverside, Carriageworks and The Australian Dance awards at the Opera House. In 2009 he received a grant from the Ian Potter Cultural Trust to attend workshops at the London Contemporary Dance School and to visit dance companies in Europe. In 2012, Raghav performed in a season of Pop Whistle Crack by Marilyn Miller in Cairns. He then completed a national tour of Briwyant, by Vicki van Hout, with seasons in Melbourne, Brisbane and The Darwin Festival. In 2012 Raghav choreographed a solo work KumKum, which premiered at PACT in Sydney. In 2013 Raghav performed in Slow dances for fast times by Martin del Amo and Double Entendre, a duet with Sue Healey and the Australia Ensemble at UNSW. He also performed in Sue Healey’s dance installation, On View, at the Manly Art Gallery. Raghav is increasingly creating his own work and was awarded a 2013 KickStart Grant by Next Wave and a 2013 JUMP Grant by the Australia Council for the Arts.
