From the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Eastern Kulin Nations, Next Wave is privileged to traverse the land and waterways of this continent of many nations – to share in the act of art making and culture building – grounded on justice, friendship and care. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.

Our Impact

Every donation supports artists and their practice – creating work in their communities, and building experimentation across leadership, art-making and culture-building.

In 2023, Next Wave invited 40 artists to participate in our programs across 15 projects. Through these projects, over 80 additional artists, creatives and community members were involved in paid roles during program development and delivery.

We paid $202,130 directly to artists in the past year, and provided 1,992 hours of in-kind venue use for rehearsals, creative developments, and workshops.

And we want to do it all again (and then some) next year! So, if you can, help us out by donating today.

Journey with us as we continue our legacy to amplify ambitious voices, experimental practice and critical storytelling to collectively reflect the zeitgeist of our times!
