Harriet Gillies

Harriet Gillies is an award-winning performance artist and theatre director working across a range of performance modes.

Harriet graduated from NIDA’s directing course and has worked at theatres and festivals across Australia, New Zealand and North America. She has worked for pioneering contemporary performance artists including Nat Randall, Pony Express and PVI Collective, as well as iconic avant-garde practitioners including Marina Abramovic, Hermann Nitsch and Robert Wilson. In 2018 Harriet presented three new projects: interactive installation, “Glitterbox” at Sydney Festival, performance “Lifestyle of the Richard and Family” at Next Wave Festival, and “Cyber-Siren-Reflective- Utopia” at the Bearded Tit in Redfern and Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center, NY. She has completed residencies at the Bearded Tit (Sydney, AUS), the Watermill Center (Long Island, NY) and La Serre: Arts Vivants @ Le Monument National (Montreal).
