Katie Lenanton

Katie Lenanton is a curator, arts administrator and writer based in Perth, Western Australia.

Independently, as a non-profit co-director and within local government she has managed numerous exhibitions, publishing initiatives and creative events that fostered collaboration and facilitated the production of new works from early career artists, musicians and creative practitioners.

Curatorial projects include Dialogues With Landscape for the 2011 Perth International Arts Festival and Here&Now12 for the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery. In 2011 she was selected to participate in the Australia Council’s Emerging Curators Program at the Venice Biennale while later that year, she served on the Commonwealth People’s Forum as an Arts & Culture Panellist for CHOGM.

Current research interests include ephemeral public art frameworks, mourning practices and hospitality cultures.
