Frances Wilkinson and Samantha McCulloch

Frances Wilkinson and Samantha McCulloch met whilst completing their Masters of Art Curatorship at the University of Melbourne, and first collaborated as curators of the 2012 Human Rights Arts and Film Festival. Their curated exhibition Echoes of Others was concerned with gaps in translation that occur along personal, national and artistic lines. Frances and Samantha have combined their art historical background with producing and curating, and fine art and curating respectively. Their collaborative practice critically examines and dissects processes of art production and display. Their shared interest in the convergence of different artistic subjects including viewing spaces, mediums, modes of production, and roles of the artist/producer/curator, inform their collaborative work.
