Next Wave welcomes new General Manager

Next Wave is thrilled to welcome Priya Pavri to the role of General Manager.

With a background in Law and Arts, Priya has lead community projects in the not-for-profit and government sector in urban and remote Australia, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining the Next Wave team, Priya managed frontline emergency medical care in Iraq, worked as a consultant at Price Waterhouse Coopers and advised a Member of the Parliament in South Australia.

Priya has a history of growing projects and organisations through unique and creative endeavours. Currently, Priya is the director of Road to Refuge, a co-founder of ‘I Had One Too’ and an independent curator. In 2019, Priya received a Carclew Fellowship for Social Justice and the Arts, to develop a curatorial and film practice around independent storytelling that helps present a layered and complex interpretation of truth.

On her appointment in the role, Priya has said “It is exciting to work for an organisation that is centering hospitality and openness at the core of everything it does. Art throughout history has provoked, challenged and advocated for cross-cultural change. To be a part of Next Wave, and work with a team that is committed to supporting our generations thinkers, creators and change-makers is a privilege.”
