Are you a lover of the arts, an artist or just art-curious? Whatever your art-orientation, this is your invitation to join us in delivering our biennial arts festival. Next Wave Festival 2016 will be happening in Melbourne again from Thu 5 – Sun 22 May and we need volunteers join us for the fun.
Next Wave Festival volunteers are highly valued members of our team and provide assistance by installing artworks, bumping in shows, invigilating exhibitions, aiding artist projects, giving information to the public and providing fantastic Front-of-House and Bar Services (for those with an RSA).
The 2016 Next Wave program launches on Tuesday 15 March. In the meantime, you can check out our 2016 artists here, and keep an eye on the website for updates.
Volunteer shifts range from 3-5 hours and we require a minimum commitment of four shifts across the three weeks of Next Wave.
In addition to the incredible first-hand experience working alongside industry professionals and artists, volunteers will receive:
- our love and praise
- an amazing Vege Threads festival tee (for wearing on shift and for keeps!) and
- a volunteer pass giving you free access to shows that are not sold out (after ticketed patrons have entered)
Volunteer Applications close on the Mon 21 March and you will need to be available to attend a festival briefing on the evening of Mon 2 May.
Successful applicants will be informed by the end of March. Applicants must be over 18 years of age at the time of the Festival, in order to volunteer with us.
