Next Wave is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to drive Australia’s preeminent organisation dedicated to supporting emerging artists. Taking leadership of Next Wave’s biennial festival, artist development programs, venue at Brunswick Mechanics Institute and a range of strategic partnerships, the ideal candidate will bring a balance of artistic and business prowess to drive Next Wave toward the 2020 Festival and beyond. A confident public advocate and dedicated to the vision and values of Next Wave, the Director/CEO will use their strong industry networks, artistic programming experience and strategic nous to oversee program development, partnerships, stakeholder engagement and foster a positive work culture.

To apply, please submit a cover letter, current CV and a response of no more than two pages outlining your experience and/or approach to the 6 specific accountabilities:
• Artistic programming and artistic management
• Long-term planning, and execution of Next Wave’s business plan
• Marketing, publicity and public relations
• Fundraising and sponsorship
• Project management, budget management and Board reporting
• Team management and performance planning
