Alumni on the Radio

Our NW alumni have been invading the airwaves of late, talking the talk and even performing on air. Liesel Zink, choreographer of NWF12’s fifteen, recently sat down with the team from Psychobabble, a psychology based podcast, to talk dance and science of movement, perception, art and appreciation. Listen to the podcast here to find out the answers to some interesting questions such as; how do the brains of dancers and non-dancers differ when viewing dance? What is it that we most enjoy in viewing dance? And is dance a language, or something else entirely? This one is guaranteed to tickle your brain!

Meanwhile Michelle Lee was on ABC Radio National over the weekend with a broadcast of her play See How the Leaf People Run, a poignant tale of a diaspora. The play was also accompanied by a short feature, The Woman from Talon Salon, featuring extracts from two audio works written and produced by Michele Lee, for her NWF12 project Talon Salon.
