Roll out the confetti cannons.
Next Wave welcomes the 40 JUMPsters and their Mentors to the Australia Council for the Arts’s 2013 JUMP Mentoring Program. As you might know, Next Wave is the national industry partner for JUMP Mentoring in 2013.
The newly expanded program supports artists, collectives, editors, producers and curators in the early stages of their career to work on a creative project with a mentor who helps them jump (pun intended) to the next level. They also receive Australia Council funding, and Next Wave’s expertise and support chely wright pokies throughout the year to make sure their mentorship flies.
David Marr, Rosemary Myers, Dan Kelly and Andrew Bovell are amongst some of the industry professionals that will be working with some of Australia’s most exceptional young practitioners.
Emily Sexton, Next Wave’s Artistic Director says, “Congratulations everyone! We’re thrilled to be working with you all, and in February we’re hoping to set you up for a brilliant and expansive year of learning, ideas and new approaches.”
