Four strangers, one supermarket and a whole bunch of Tuesday specials.
Tuesday by NW artist Louris van de Geer is back as part of the VCA One Act Plays season. Directed by Alice Darling, Tuesday tells the stories of four strangers in a typical contemporary Australian suburb who all make the sluggish, hum drum trip to the supermarket, to buy peaches for people who don’t like them, deal with discontent and to feel a little naughty.
Tuesday was first developed as a part of MKA’s development season at the Melbourne Theatre Company VIP Rooms in 2011 and further developed as part of Theatre Works’ 2012 ‘In the Works’ Program.
“I think this is the most exciting piece of theatre I’ve seen this year” (Anne-Marie Peard, AussieTheatre.com, 2012).
