Winter is over, Melbourne is slowly warming up and Edinburgh Gardens is the perfect place for a picnic.
Now who wants their picnic with a side of art? Renee Cosgrave (NWF 2012) is painting the Queen Victoria Plinth in the middle of the park as a part of Plinth Projects; an artist-run alternative to large scale public art. Renee’s beautiful, simple designs contain repeated patterns applied by hand with discipline and dedication. This latest work is an extension of her current studio work and will prove the perfect centrepiece and talking point for an afternoon in the park.
So pack that hamper and head down to the Gardens to check it out.
Opening picnic 6 October , 4-6pm.
