Alumni for Melbourne Writers Festival

Melbourne Writers Festival is about to burst into life across the UNESCO City of Literature, and while we highly recommend that you sit down with a cup of tea and peruse the full program as soon as possible, here are our picks of Next Wave artist and staff alumni:

Playwright Louris van de Greer (Next Wave Festival 2014) shares her Extraordinary Routines – daily habits, rituals and writing advice.

Oslo Davis is an Illustrator In Residence, and will be camped out at Melbourne Central’s Little Library penning ‘Seen and Heard’ drawings.

Tai Snaith is also an Illustrator In Residence and presents the Sticks & Stones, Animal Bones workshop for the festival’s littlest writers and readers.

Richard Watts sheds light on the arts media in Media Makers: On The Arts and talks society with Hannie Rayson and Tony Briggs in On Class.

Meanwhile for KAGE, Gerard van Dyke (Next Wave Festival 1998) has teamed up with Marieke Hardy for PICNIC, an intelligent and humorous dance solo where the dancer becomes storyteller.
