Megan Clune is a musician, writer and artist based in Sydney. She is currently exploring the varying purposes of music in her practice through performance, installation and recording. After studying clarinet with Robert Schubert at the Victorian College of the Arts, Megan has performed and undertaken residencies across Australia and America in a variety of settings including the Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival. She has curated MUSICAL ALASKA, a monthly night of classical, experimental and electronic music at Kings Cross gallery space Alaska Projects since mid-2012. Megan is also a founding member the Alaska Orchestra and one half of Tiger Tiger, an ongoing collaborative, multidisciplinary project with dancer/choreographer Angela Goh. Megan is the founding editor of contemporary art and music magazine World’s Only. Recent installation works Relating to Deep Inward Thought Rather Than Intellect; or, This is What I’m Talking About and The Closest Thing to Your Body have been shown at Firstdraft Gallery and Underbelly Arts Festival respectively.
